The Marching Cougars filled Elko New Market with music on Saturday, June 27th. The band performed Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” Thank you to all of the parent volunteers for keeping everyone hydrated and our banner carriers! The band’s next performance is this Saturday in Delano for the 4th of July Parade. Their last practice for this performance is Thursday at the regular rehearsal time (percussion is meeting 1 hour earlier).
Delano 4th of July Parade Information:
***We are still in need of 2 banner carriers, so if any siblings are coming to watch the parade we could use 2 2 of them to carry our banner. Please let us know if you have someone who can do this
Report Time: Arrive at school between 8:30-8:40, bus DEPARTS promptly at 9AM.
Uniform: Band t-shirt tucked into khaki shorts and tennis shoes. Hair should be off the shoulders in a pony tail or up. No hats. Please remember sunscreen!
Food: Bring a snack/lunch to leave on the bus and eat after the parade on the way home. We will not be stopping for lunch.
Parade starts at 10:30 AM. We anticipate returning to school around 1:30/2 PM.
