WHY WE TRAVEL
The Lakeville South Band Program travels to provide students with the opportunity to perform, utilizing their developed skills, to affect others in a positive way. Traveling also has a strong impact on our students’ world view and provides them with lifelong memories created with their band family!
TRAVEL FREQUENCY
The band never travels just to travel. Our “normal” travel schedule is every-other year, with the goal of providing every band member a domestic and international performance tour opportunity prior to graduation. This schedule could be altered to take advantage of valuable performance opportunities that present themselves.

(2017-2018) Ireland
The Lakeville South Band performed in Dublin, Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day 2018! The band performed in Dublin and Limerick, while traveling to places including The Cliffs of Mohr, Blarney Castle and the Rock of Cashel. The band earned the Spirit of the Parade award in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade for performing at a high level and with the energy that entertained the hundreds of thousands of people along the parade route!
