The Lakeville South Marching Band serves the school and greater Lakeville community with many performances throughout the year, providing entertainment to hundreds of thousands of people every year! Below are resources for our student musicians to prepare for these performances.
The Lakeville South Band Program offers 2 marching band ensembles throughout the summer and fall; summer marching band and fall marching band.

If you are ONLY in Fall Marching Band Pay by clicking here. (only pertains to about 3 people) All Fall Marching Band members are required to be in Summer Marching Band to learn fundamentals. Each year, there may be 1 or 2 exceptions.
BAND POLO – If you are new to LSHS or just need a new band polo, purchase your polo here. All band students need a band polo.
Marching Shoes – If you are in Fall Marching Band and/or traveling to Ireland with us, you will need to purchase a pair of Dinkles, which are our marching shoes.
Summer Marching Band (May-July) This band rehearses in the summer and performs in about 7 parades around the state, including the Aquatennial and the MN State Fair. This is also the traveling marching band when the band is invited and accepted into national and international parades.
Fall Marching Band (July-October) This band rehearses to perform at all home football games and in competition. The FMB creates a new show each year to be performed on the football field. The 2021 Fall Marching Band earned the title of Class A State Champion and the 2022 and 2023 Fall Marching Bands earned the title of Class AA State Champion at the Youth in Music Championships at US Bank Stadium!
