I am SO excited to be hosting the Minnesota Percussive Arts Society Day of Percussion 2017 on Saturday, December 9th with all of you! The event is meant to bring together the percussion community of Minnesota, and I am so proud to be doing it at Lakeville South High School. As per our discussions in class, each student has a specific job for the day. Our Wind Ensemble percussionists and our Honors Quartet will have the opportunity to work with Fernando Meza from the University of Minnesota School of Music during our clinic time, in addition to being able to participate in masterclasses presented by a variety of Twin Cities percussion educators. It will be an exciting day!

Below is the posted list of jobs, as well as the general schedule for the Day of Percussion next Saturday, December 9th. Dress is “nice” dress-up clothes (no jeans, no t-shirts). Please note the following items:

– If you are not working a “helper job,” or have down time for a job, please be attending the awesome masterclasses that are being presented to you for free!

– If you are working your “helper job,” please keep in mind that you are representing Lakeville South. We have school pride and pride for our band program (Passion and Pride!), and we need to be at our best!

Looking forward to it! 🙂
